Minister of Electricity in Sudan visits MEC project site.
Minister of Electricity in Sudan, H.E. Mr Awad Ahmad Algaz, along with National Electricity Corporation (NEC) MD Mr. Makkawi Mohammed Awad visited project erection site on 14th November, 2005. MEC is executing a 220 KV Khartoum Ring Main Project in SUDAN.
The Team expressed satisfaction towards the progress of the project.
Conclave on Indo - African Project pertnership " EXPANDING HORIZONS" was organized from 6-8th November by CII and Ministry of External Affairs, INDIA. MOHAN GROUP was the Principal Sponsor of this conclave.
The opening session was addressed by H.E. Mr. Natwar Singh, Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India.
High Level Delegation consisting of Ministers and Managing Directors from various African countries like Ivory Coast, Sudan, Uganda, Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Guinea Conakry, Togo, Kenya, Chad, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Niger, Mauritania, Mali. visited the Mohan Group Stall at the Conclave.
The speech by The President of India, H.E. Mr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a well renowned Aerospace Scientist, marked the closing session of the Conclave, and the beginning of a new phase of Indo - African Business Co-operation.
MEC’s Pavilion at UPDEA Congress & Exhibition MEC’s pavilion at UPDEA Congress & Exhibition in Accra, Ghana attracted many visitors all across Africa including Ministers, CEO’s, Senior members of the Government, Director Generals, Engineers, Consultants from various Power Utilities. The innovative products displayed by MEC was one of the major attraction at the pavilion. There were large numbers of enquiries for Solar Systems and special types of Electronic Meters displayed at the pavilion. A short film on MEC’s capacity and capability shown at the Congress impressed many delegates. UPDEA Congress & Exhibition was held in Accra Ghana from 6th – 10th June 2005. More than 400 delegates from around 30 countries all across the Africa attended the Congress & Exhibition.
High Level Delegation from Ghana visits MEC A high level delegation from Ministry of Energy, Ghana consisting of Mr. S.Q. Barnor, Chief Director and Mr. E. Antwi-Darkwa, Director Power visited MEC recently. They have visited various factories and establishments in India .
Tower Type DD/EE Tested for Sudan MEC has successfully tested 220 KV heavy angle / dead end tower (Type DD/EE ) for Khartoum Ring Project in Sudan in presence of NEC Engineers at Tower Testing station at Nagpur, Central India.

The exhibition shall be held at the capital city Accra from 06 - 10 June 2005. MEC shall demonstrate its technologies and capabilities in conventional as well as non-conventional Energy sector in the exhibition.

MEC participated in an International Exhibition "INDIA ELECTRICITY 2006" for Electrical Equipments at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi . The exhibition was held in the capital city of New Delhi from 11 - 13 May 2006. The Exhibition saw High Level Dignitories and delegates from all over the World, and the Exhibition concluded with a successful note. MEC demonstrated its technologies and capabilities in conventional as well as non-conventional Energy sector in the exhibition.
