Nile river crossing
completed by MEC in
Sudan
One of the largest river
crossing in the world,
with a total span of
3.044 kms was recently
commissioned by us in
Sudan. The
crossing is over the
river Nile and is a part
of the 220KV Khartoum
Ring Main Project.
The crossing comprises
of total of 5 towers; 2
anchor towers and 3 mid
stream special towers.
Each of the mid stream
special towers are
108mtr high and 110mt
weight and are located
on islands within the
river.
Transmission line
project completed
The 220KV transmission
line project being
executed by us for
Haryana Vidyut Prasaran
Nigam Ltd. was completed
and finally handover to
the customer in end
February 2008
Participation in "INDIA
ELECTRICITY 2007"
exhibition
We continued our
participation for the
second year in a row, in
the above Exhibition
which was held in New
Delhi from 20th
September 2007 to 22nd
September 2007.
The
exhibition was
inaugurated by Shri
Sushil Kumar Shinde,
Hon'bl Union Minister
for Power. We had
the pleasure of
receiving at our stall,
various high level
dignitaries, both Indian
as well as foreign, from
a wide variety of
organisations.
Ghana contract comes
to an end
The supplies under the
Self Help
Electrification Project
(Phase IV) of Ministry
of Energy, Ghana, were
completed recently.
The contract was
executed well within the
delivery period.
Participation in "AFRICA
POWER AND ELECTRICITY
EXHIBITION" at
Johannesburg
MEC participated in the
above exhibition, held
from 14-18 April 2008 at
Sandston Convention
Centre, Johannesburg,
