Mohan Energy Corporation Pvt. Ltd. has over the years developed expertise in production of BioDiesel from Jatropha seeds.

MEC executes contracts for all the activities related to such a project.  These can be broadly classified in three stages:

PLANTATION STAGE:

This involves plantation of the Jatropha Curcas plant specie on designated land areas.  MEC designs and implements techniques which will result in optimum crop production of Jatropha seeds with advanced soil management techniques and judicious use of agricultural inputs.

EXTRACTION STAGE

The next stage involves extraction of Jatropha oil from Jatropha seeds.  Depending upon the capacity required, mechanical eaction, solvent based extraction processes or even soxhlet extraction is provided.

TRANSESTERIFICATION BIODIESEL PROCESS

The final stage of biodiesel production which is the transestrification process is most complex and the success of the project depends on its efficiency.  IN the process, the Jatropha oil is estrified and the biodiesel so produced is tapped off.  Depending upon the capacity, customer preference and also to match the local hydrocarbon industry technology, various types of Transestrification processes can be offered.
